The Morgan Hill Pinto A All-Star team came in second place this week in the Fremont 4th of July All-Star tournament.
Coached by Brian Bantilan, Rick Martinez and Carl Hughes the Pinto A All-Stars lost the championship game 9-5 to the Blossom Valley A team. “Our team played three games today, a total of 18 innings in 100 degree heat and never gave up,” Martinez said. “Our boys are now ready to take the sectional tournament this weekend.”
The Pinto sectional tournament will start this weekend in Morgan Hill. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children over 6 and seniors.
