Allen B. Wisotsky
Allen was born April 25, 1940, and passed away July 23, 2010. He is a Beloved husband to Lindy, "Pop" to Rachel, Joe, Zev, Sarah, and Jacob. He is a brother to Betty Bloom and Mayer "Sonny" Wisotsky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen chose to be a teacher and worked in Los Angeles and Gilroy for 30 years. His compassion and ability to see students as individuals helped so many in need. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He did this by going on camping trips, playing games, and telling stories. Allen loved all sports, but especially baseball. When he was unable to play, fantasy baseball became a new way to enjoy the sport. Allen belonged to Congregation Emeth where he admired Zev and Sarah become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. His greatest joy was being a part of and planning his grandson Jacob's Bar Mitzvah. Allen was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Walter O'Donnell passed away on August 29, 2012, at his home after a lengthly illness. He is survived by his daughter, Kay; son, Kent; and grandson, Maclyn.

Sue M. Serafin
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sue Merenda Serafin who passed away at St. Louise Hospital on May 18, 2011. Born in Arma, Kansas to Frank and Mary Merenda, she was 89 years old. Sue came with her family to Gilroy in 1937. She graduated from Gilroy High School and Hartnell College.
Doris B. Hoyle
Longtime Hollister resident, Doris B. Hoyle, spouse of the late Millard Hoyle, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29th after a brief illness. "Dori" , as she was affectionately called by those who knew her, was a native of Gibbon, Nebraska; graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Home Economics. Dori came to San Benito County in 1949 and taught briefly at San Benito High School. Dori was recognized as a active community leader, a member and avid supporter of many San Benito County organizations, some of which were the San Benito County Community Foundation (Board Member); Hazel Hawkins Hospital Foundation (Board Member); the Hospital Auxiliary; long time member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church; and the P.E.O. As a benefactor to the San Francisco Symphony, she enjoyed her trips to the San Francisco performances; she enjoyed music, singing, and participating in the choir of the First Presbyterian Church. Dori had been a world traveler and had keen interest in her collection of antique dolls.
Richard Cancilla, December 3, 1922 – January 26, 2012
Richard Cancilla, 89, died peacefully at his home in Morgan Hill, CA, on January 26, 2012. Richard was born December 3, 1922, in San Jose CA. Richard is survived by his wife, Eunice, daughter and son in law, Charlotte and Jim Johnston, son David, his late son, Allen Quezada, and step-son and daughter in law, Dean and Dottie Latham, and many loving grand-children and great-grandchildren. He was the youngest of three, and brother to Joyce and Phyllis. He graduated from Santa Clara High School in 1940 in San Jose, CA. After working in the ship yards, he then went to work for the State of California until his retirement in 1977.Richard was a member of the Woodland Estates Board of Directors and was very active in many projects and activities within the park.
