Manuel G. Luna Jr.

Manuel G. Luna, Jr. passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 69 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Born in Sacramento and has lived in San Benito County all his life. He attended local schools and has worked in farming for over 40 years.

Harold Strong Nissen

Harold Strong Nissen, 89, passed away on October 19, 2007, at Vallejo Care Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauleen. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Charles Green of Sacramento, and a son and his wife, Harold and Iwona Nissen of Medford, OR. He is also survived by his sister and her husband, Mary Jane and Les Valentine, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jose A. (Don Chon) Reynoso

Jose A. "Don Chon" Reynoso passed away in Hollister at the age of 71. He was born in Jalostotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico and came to Hollister from Gilroy in 1976. He owned and operated Hollister Drive In Market on 4th and Line Streets in Hollister, helped form Liga Obrera Baseball League, was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the first recipient of the Mexican American Committee on Education Man of the Year in 1980. In 1987 he was honored as an exemplary Hispanic citizen with Sabado Gigante and was an honoree in the San Benito Saddle Horse Show as a participant in the parade with Associacion de Charros Los Amigos. He married his wife, Elvira, in 1963 in Mexico.

Eddyth (Eddie) Di Loreto

Eddyth "Eddie" Di Loreto passed away at the age of 69 at her residence at Stonegate in Tres Pinos on July 2nd, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. "Eddie," as she was affectionally known, was a native of Columbus, OH and had moved to San Benito County 14 years ago with her husband Michael from Diamond Bar, in Los Angeles County. Eddie was a licensed Real Estate Broker, affiliated with Coldwell Banker-Pivetti Real Estate in Hollister; was also a talented interior designer on a professional basis having studied interior design at Fullerton College in Southern California. She continued to further her education by studying in the Para-Legal Program at DeAnza College. Eddie's mother, Agnes stated that her daughter was a very charming person and exuded joy where ever she was.

Michael T. Bailey May 20, 1950 – December 26, 2012

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.

Dolores “Dee” Hone June 15, 1930 – March 10, 2017

Beloved Dolores Dee Hone passed away at 86 years old on March 10, 2017 at her Sons house in La Selva Beach California. She peacefully fell asleep and went to heaven to be with her loving husband Wayne.

Peter Sackville Pickard, 82, of Burkett, TX, died Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Abilene Regional Medical Center. A memorial service was held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2010, at St. Mark's Espicopal Church with The Rev. Russell Fisher officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman, TX.

Jon Philip Rapazzini

Born in San Jose, CA, June 19, 1939, to parents Angelo and Vita Rapazzini. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Zondra, who had befriended Jon for 12 years prior to their marriage; his brother Victor Rapazzini and wife Cynthia; sister Selma Rapazzini Weisenbeck and her husband, David; two sons, Mark Rapazzini, and his wife Kris and their children Adrian and Melina, and Todd Rapazzini, and his children, Alexandra and Joseph, and his fiance Christina and her daughter Jenna; and god-children Gabriel Somerville, Benjamin Somerville, Joseph Hanna, Matthew and Maximus Clausing, Brannock Valory, Josiah Michael Steiger, Zenovia Flippen, Katrina Trigg, and Xenia Yohannen; and adopted Italian daughter, Stacey Valory.

Germana Bettencourt Afonso Cabral

Germana Bettencourt Afonso Cabral entered this life on May 31, 1929, and took her-walk with Jesus on May 8, 2011, at St. Louise Regional Hospital with her nephew and two great-nieces by her side, after a brief illness.
