William (Bill) Jury

Bill passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, of cancer, at his home in Gilroy. He was the husband of Anita L. Jury, father of Mark & Scott Jury and Michelle Habing, Stephanie Nazzisi, Elizabeth Williams and Rozalyn Mendence, grandfather of Jason, Mitch, Neal, Joey, Kyle, Jessika, Corey, Janessa, Tyler and Ashley, and brother of Richard R. Jury.

Leo L. (Bob) Pera

Hollister native Bob Pera passed away at the age of 87. He is survived by his spouse, Gina Pera; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Marie Pera; granddaughter Robin Pera, all of Hollister; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Bob and Helayna Pera of Gridley. Arrangements have been made for private cremation and inurnment.

Lorene D. Yates July 3, 1944 – January 19, 2017

Lorene Yates died Thursday evening January 19, 2016 after a long illness. She is survived by her siblings Jerry Hebble, Grant Hebble and Cordeal Delson; sister in law Kasey Allen; her children, Zach Yates, Edie Yates and Karl Yates; son in law Yiping Lim; daughter in law Sarah Yates; her grandchildren, Leonard and Ada Lim, and Jackson Yates, and her many and beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Yates and her parents, Jacob Grant Hebble III and Edith Lorene Hebble.

Antonio “Tony” Franco June 28, 1919 – January 6, 2012.

Antonio "Tony" Franco beloved husband of the late Ruth Franco passed away suddenly in Clovis, CA on Jan. 6th, 2012, at the age of 92 years. Tony was a native of San Martin, CA , a former long time Hollister resident when he operated his cattle ranch and worked for Almaden Vineyards.

Sister of John Cabral (Lenita) of Santa Clara, Maria Silveira (Gene) of Santa Clara, Tony Bettencourt (Anna) of Los Gatos and the late William Bettencourt, Eduardo Cabral and Adelina Freitas.

Mrs. Alvarez passed away Easter Sunday at her granddaughter Gloria Espino Anaya's home in Los Banos, CA , at the age of 91 years. She was the wife of the late Jose Limones, mother of Beatrice Castaneda and family of Los Banos, Maria Montano and family of San Jose, Joe Limones and family of Redding, CA, Max Limones and family of Gilroy and the late Jorge, Juan, Ambrosio, Jose & Guadalupe Limones. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to dance, cook, sew and gamble. A native of Texas.

Joseph Edward Grayshock

Joseph Edward Grayshock was born in Wallington, New Jersey, married Philomena Grasso on October 12, 1941, and joined the Marine Corp on July 1, 1941. He fought in the South Pacific and was discharged after serving his country for six years. Joseph then settled in California after the war. He was the most loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather there ever was. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Philomena (May) Grayshock; his three daughters, Phyllis Pierce and her husband Eunie, Lois Kincaid and Terri Grayshock; his grandson, John J. Cardinalli and his wife Grace; granddaughter, Kara Loupe and her husband Stephen; and his beloved great-grandchildren, John William Cardinalli, Olivia Lauren Loupe and Madeline Eve Loupe. He lived well between the "dash". Funeral services have already been held.
