MH scales back services during holidays

Morgan Hill City Hall and its various offices will shut down between Dec. 24 and Jan. 1 for the holidays, and city employees – with the exception of those in emergency and public safety and limited others –will be furloughed.

All regular city committee and commission meetings have been cancelled.

The fire department and police will remain open and staffed at normal levels. Limited building inspections will be available. For water or sewer problems, call 776-7337 and leave your name, address, phone number and nature of the problem to have the issue addressed. The Centennial Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, and closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Aquatics Center will be open for Master’s Lap Swim in the early mornings and closed on those days.

City Hall will reopen with normal business hours on Jan. 2, but the first City Council meeting in January has been canceled. The first regular meeting of the new year will be Jan. 16. For further information, visit www.morganhill.ca.gov.
