MOUNTAIN BIKING: Dirty Gears Series begins Sunday

SALINAS — South Valley Endurance is gearing up for the start of its Dirty Gears MTB XC, a four-race series that is open to mountain bikers of all levels.

The series begins Sunday at Fort Ord State Park in Salinas and continues March 6 at Santa Teresa County Park and June 5 at Harvey Bear Ranch County Park. The final event is July 17 at Wilder Ranch State Park. Each of the USA Cycling-sanctioned races begin at 9 a.m.
