Morgan Hill Bowl’s Saturday Junior Program had 17 district finals qualifiers compete in the California Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships on March 16 and 17 at Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood.
The program’s top placers were: Troy Dawson, who finished second in scratch for a scholarship in the boys 8-and-under category; Hailey Ojeda, who took third in handicap for a scholarship in the girls 12-and-under category; Jacob Scocca, who was fifth in scratch and qualified for state finals in the boys 15-and-under category; Tyler Keen, who took sixth in handicap for a scholarship and seventh in the scratch division while qualifying for state finals in the boys 20-and-under category; Justin Aboud, who finished seventh in scratch for a scholarship in the boys 12-and-under category; and Josh Hawkins, who took ninth in the scratch division and qualified for state finals in the boys 20-and-under category.
The state finals are set for May 4 and 5 and Classic Bowl in Daly City.
