Karen Bamberg loves the new Automated Postal Machine which frees

The Morgan Hill Post Office has a new Automated Postal Center to help customers with their postal transactions and retail business.

The APC is a 24-hour self-service kiosk that lets customers mail packages and letters without standing in line at the retail counter, offering an option during busy periods.

Nationally, customers have used the APC to conduct more than 70.5 million transactions in the last fiscal year, reported the U.S. Postal Service.

“Our self service center is making our customers’ lives easier by giving them free access to it at any time and also letting them have a post-date on their mail,” said Morgan Hill Post Office supervisor Karen Bamberg. “It frees us our large mailers. Customers are not constrained to regular lobby hours.”

Customers can weigh and mail letters and parcels and purchase stamps at the touch of a screen and the use of debit and credit cards make all transactions effortless.
