Surveillance footage of a suspect believed to have robbed the Morgan Hill 7-11.

Morgan Hill Police is asking for the public’s help to track down a suspect who robbed the 7-11 on Main Avenue late Tuesday or early Wednesday and it may be connected to similar robberies in Campbell and San Jose.
Officers responded to a call at 12:41 a.m. to investigate the report of a prior robbery.
According to an MHPD release, upon arrival it was discovered that a black male adult, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a red billed hat and black pants walked into the store and brandished a small black hand-gun at the victim.
The release stated that the suspect demanded the victim to open the cash register, which the victim initially refused. The victim told police the suspect then punched him in the face and forced him to open the register.
Seconds later, the suspect removed the cash from the register and was last observed running west toward Crest Avenue, according to police.
The victim was transported to Saint Louise Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
The Campbell Police Department reported a similar incident that occurred on Monday at approximately 11:37 p.m.
During the Campbell case, two black male adults entered the Food Mart located at 100 W. Hamilton Avenue and demanded money from the clerk
The physical and clothing description of one of the suspects and the modus operandi was a near identical match to the Morgan Hill robbery, according to the police.
The San Jose Police Department also reported two robberies in which the suspects actions and description also resembled the Morgan Hill robbery, however, a direct link has not been made as of yet.
