Marlins 8, Braves 8

Jessie Osuna and Patrick Gustafon took on the pitching duties for the Marlins, while Andrew Wilcox, Matthew Bellah and Sam Aptekar were on the mound for the Braves. In the top of the first inning Braves’ JT Miller hit a triple into deep left field to start the game off with a bang. Teammate Aptekar followed with a RBI double for the Braves. In the bottom of the first Ryan Quadros hit a double, driving in three runs for the Marlins. In the bottom of the second inning, Quadros hit another double, driving in two more runs for the Marlins. The Braves led the Marlins the third and fourth innings, but the Marlins came back strong the the fifth inning, tying the game 8-8 by the end of the sixth. The coaches decided on a tie rather than going an extra inning, wrapping the game up shortly after 7:30pm Wednesday evening.

Cardinals 7, Mets 5

The Cardinals got an early 5-0 lead and held off the Mets to win 7-5. For the Cardinals they got good pitching from Josh Alaniz, Adam Belluomini, and Jack Affourtit. They each pitched two innings. For the Mets, Kyle Bowman struggled in the first inning giving up five runs but came back to pitch well in the second shutting out the Cardinals. Andrei Arroyo pitched well in the next two innings allowing two runs. Ethan Cox pitched the fifth inning shutting out the Cardinals. For the Cardinals, Sam Raney hit a very long triple, Josh Alaniz hit a double, and Colton Boulware, Belluomini and Kenyon Williams each had a single. For the Mets, Joshua Araiza had three singles and scored two runs. Hank Griswold hit a double. Manny Luna, Bowman, and Trenton Reynolds each had a single.

Marlins 15, Cubs 7

The Marlins came out swinging their bats against the Cubs pitchers. When it was all over the Marlins had 11 hits for the day. Casey Cornelius contributed with a two-RBI hit and Joshua Zellmer had one RBI in the second inning. Kyle Quadros and Kai Paresa had two hits a piece. Taylor Turnipseed of the Cubs had a double and homerun for his day. Turnipseed also pitched two innings.

Pinto Division

Angels vs Giants

On the mound for the Giants were Ken Williams, Ryan Henner, Eric Dunbar, and Eddie Steffani who made his debut as a pitcher. Zach Herscovitch made a diving catch on a pop fly for an out during the bottom of the third inning for the Giants. Williams hit a homerun for the Giants and teammate Dunbar had two good hits. Caleb Duarte returned to the Giants lineup after being out for several games with an injury and had a good RBI hit. Herscovitch also had a hit in the game.

Giants 15, Mets 12

This was one of the most exciting games of the season with the lead changing hands several times. The Giants broke the game open in the fifth inning and took a 15-9 lead. The Mets responded with three runs in the fifth to close the score to 15-12. For the Giants, Allen Engle and Billy Wagner-Branon hit doubles. Francis Tuttle, Ben Hughes, Ben Crawford, and Manuel Pallib each had a single. For the Mets, Patrick Kelly hit a double and a single. Andrei Arroyo and Kyle Bowman each hit two singles.
