– The Morgan Hill Gymnastics girl’s competitive team had their
second meet of the season on Sunday, Sept. 11, when the girls
traveled to Santa Cruz to compete at the Begonia Fest. The Level 5s
took home the second-place trophy for team performance.

The Level 5s took home the second-place trophy for team performance.
All-around team scores are figured by totaling the top four individual scores in each event – the vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around competition.
Because Morgan Hill only has four competitive Level 5s, every girl’s score counted for every event.
Additionally, three girls – Amanda Suniga, Whitney Clement and Jordan Fedalizo – had all-around scores of over 34.000.
Two regular season meets with this score is an automatic qualifier to compete at the State Championships.
Pooja Chirala qualified for Zones with an all-around score of over 32.00.
The team will head to Salinas next weekend to compete at the Round Up Invitational.
