After a rough start, Morgan Hill Bowl’s Youth League had some heavy pin action Saturday.
The older kids in the junior league had some great scores. Dominic Lopez led the pack with a high scratch game of 99. Taylor Melody followed close behind with a 91 game, and Nick Ondich made it into the third spot with an 85.
All three boys also held the top three spots for high scratch series. Lopez took the lead with his 243 three-game set, but Melody was right on his heels with a 240 series while Ondich followed up with a 230 series.
Not to be outdone by the boys, Megan Hartman came in with a 204 scratch series.
In the bumper league, there was a lot of excitement as Ben Donn hit a 111 high game. Tanner Melody grabbed the secondo spot with a 110 game and Mitch Kramer threw a strike in the 10th frame, finishing with a 107 game.
The high series spots were held by Donn, with a two-game series of 205, followed by Kramer, with a 202. Brandon Leiser made the third spot with his 192 series.
