A 33-year-old Morgan Hill man was cited and released Tuesday on misdemeanor charges after an incident at Galvan Park.
“At approximately 10am, one of our city workers reported a man with a knife chasing another man through the park,” Morgan Hill Police Lt. Joe Sampson said.
Officers arrived and, with guns drawn, took the man into custody without incident. Rudolpho Rivera was charged with brandishing a weapon and attempted assault with a deadly weapon.
Rivera told Sampson he was assaulted in the park the day before, and he thought the man he was chasing was the one who had assaulted him. The victim told Sampson he was in the park when the assault on Rivera occurred, saw him on the ground and tried to help Rivera.
