The Live Oak High School class of 2003 celebrated its 10-year reunion June 8 at Troy’s Bocce Room in Morgan Hill. Approximately 130 guests were in attendance. The class was able to raise a $1,000 donation for the California Coalition for Youth in memory of LOHS classmates who have passed away: Brian Enos, Edmond Mok, Sade Morales, and Nick Garcia.
“Morgan Hill is a tight knit small town, and we take pride in supporting the community and upholding the values instilled in us. After careful selection, we chose to support California Coalition for Youth, specifically California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL), based on your commitment to youth in all difficult circumstances; homelessness, depression, medical assistance, and more,” wrote Reunion Chairman Steve Tankersley in a letter to CCFY Executive Director Paul Curtis. “It is our hope that this money will be used to fund your mission of helping today and tomorrow’s youth through crises in their lives.”
Tankersley hopes his class’s reunion success “exemplifies what it means to be a Morgan Hill resident, and hopefully sets a precedent for other Live Oak/Sobrato reunions.”
