Vargas enrolls at Palmer

Fernando Vargas, of Morgan Hill, has been accepted for enrollment for the 2025 spring term in the Doctor of Chiropractic degree program at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus in Davenport, Iowa. 

Prepare for summer

The City of Morgan Hill’s Recreation Activity Guide is now online at tinyurl.com/bdecvp7b. The guide includes registration information for summer camps, programs, swim lessons and more summer fun. 

Join the planning commission

The City of Morgan Hill is seeking applications from residents who are interested in serving on the seven-member Planning Commission. Upcoming available terms, which are currently vacant, start on June 1 and end on June 2, 2029. Applications are due by May 9.

FFA spring auction needs sponsors

Morgan Hill FFA’s 22nd annual spring auction fundraiser will take place 5:30pm April 25 at Guglielmo Winery. Proceeds from the auction will support FFA students and agricultural programs at Live Oak and Sobrato high schools. 

The FFA is currently seeking sponsors for the auction. Donations and sponsorships are critical to the success and excitement of the auction, FFA students said in a press release. Local businesses, organizations, families and individuals are invited to sponsor at any level, including National Sponsor ($1,000), State Sponsor ($500), Chapter Sponsor ($250) and Friend of FFA ($100). 

National sponsors can choose to sponsor a scholarship in their name, which will be presented by the sponsor at FFA awards ceremonies later this year.

Sponsors at all levels will receive tickets to the April 25 auction, as well as a commemorative glass. 

The April 25 auction will be a night to enjoy and remember. Guests will be treated to appetizers and desserts, as well as some of the valley’s finest wines. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit bids on numerous items up for auction, created and provided by area donors.
