III title.

Following the Live Oak High girls soccer team’s section co-championship, a slew of local players helped the Valley Christian High girls soccer team to a title of its own on Saturday.

Led by Morgan Hill’s Ali Cheadle, a freshman who scored both goals, the Warrior girls beat San Lorenzo Valley 2-1 in the Central Coast Section Division III title.

Valley Christian (13-6-2) also beat both Division I finalists this season, splitting a pair of games with Live Oak and besting Leland.

Among the locals who play for the Warriors are Cheadle, Krista Stryker, Lena McNulty, Janelle Raymaker, Weynab Admassu, and Jessica Wrye. In addition, assistant coach Bill Stryker lives in the area and Tiffany Makinster hails from Gilroy

Most of the local players on both Live Oak and Valley Christian played in the Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League.
