There’s only two weeks of school left. That’s just 10 school days left for the freshmen, sophomores and juniors, but only six school days left for the seniors. Many, if not all of the students are anxiously awaiting summer vacation, but first we must get through the dreaded end-of-the-year finals. For the seniors, finals will be Friday for periods one, three and five and next Monday for periods two, four, zero and six.
As for the rest of the underclassmen, they will take two finals per day beginning next Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, the Associated Student Body officers officially passed on their positions to the incoming officers of the 2006-07 school year. Best wishes to all of the new officers and may you have a successful school year filled with fun and exciting activities.
Last week was Senior Spirit Week. This is where only the seniors dress up to the different themes designated for each day. Tuesday was Hawaiian/Under the Sea Day. Wednesday was College T-Shirt Day where students wore the shirt of the college they will be attending next year. Thursday was Senior Royalty Day where students dressed up like kings and queens. Friday was Senior Spirit Day where students dressed in their best green and gold attire and proudly showed their Acorn pride for one last time!
There are still Grad Night tickets on sale in the ASB office. Save money and buy yours now. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled night. There will be a DJ, dancing, various games, karaoke, delicious food and even a hypnotist.
Study hard Acorns and use your “dead week” wisely. For all seniors, graduation is just 10 days away, Disneyland is eight days away, and Senior Reflections is seven days away. Good luck in your future Class of 2006!
