visiting Hollister-San Benito 6-1 on Wednesday.
After waiting a week to play its home opener, the Live Oak High boys tennis team made the most of the opportunity by beating visiting Hollister-San Benito 6-1 on Wednesday.

Led by No. 1 singles player Chris Laskodi’s 6-3, 6-2 victory, the Acorns took all four singles matches and two of the three doubles matches against the Haybalers.

In other league action this week, Live Oak dropped a 6-1 decision at Palma on Tuesday and lost a heartbreaker to visiting Salinas 4-3 on Thursday.

In boys golf, Live Oak shot a 244 in its opener at Salinas Country Club and finished sandwiched between Hollister (220) and North Salinas (280). The Acorns were led by Jef West (43) and freshman Dustion Toto (48).
