The Live Oak hockey team faced off against Santa Clara and once again battled in another tight game, but came up short, losing 6-4.
Live Oak kept the upper hand for a good portion of the game, but gave up two goals on a penalty kill in the last period.
Senior Conner Williamson scored all four goals for Live Oak off two assists from senior Scott Alexander.
Junior Kyle Rosenzweig, protecting the net, stayed alert and ready to block off Santa Clara’s persistent attempts to score.
Strong on the rink were freshman Christian Simonsen and senior Tyler Damron, who contributed key plays for Live Oak.
Junior Ryan Listol stayed focused on keeping the pressure on while junior Michael Widergren remained solid throughout the game.
Live Oak will play Branham High school at 9pm today in its final face-off before the playoffs.
