Live Oak’s pool will be closed for most of the summer for maintenance and as part of a rotating schedule with Sobrato, Athletic Director Mark Cummins said Thursday.

Sobrato’s pool was closed last year while Live Oak remained open, but this year the closure was flipped.

Live Oak’s pool closed once school let out last week.

The pool will reopen for at least two weeks later this summer as part of the school’s sports camps, which include diving and water polo that begin July 22.

Cummins said he hoped it might be open for a third week, but wasn’t sure if that would happen.

He said the water polo team is using Sobrato to practice during the summer.
