Dear Editor,
Strong support for our Morgan Hill Community Library was evident at the gala event on March 6 that raised more than $5,800 for the Yes on Measures A and B library parcel tax campaign. We would like to thank all those who helped make it such a big success, especially Guglielmo Winery, which hosted the event and supplied the wine.
A delicious variety of food was generously donated by local restaurants, including Giancarlo’s, Golden Oak, House of Bagels, House of Siam, The King and I, Marie Callendar’s, My Pizza, Mushroom’s, Rosy’s at the Beach, Sicilia in Bocca and Chiles Grill, as well as several individuals.
Silent auction items were provided by AAUW-Morgan Hill, Alien Technology, BookSmart, Cinelux Theatres, Friends of the Morgan Hill Library, Hiromi’s Japanese Restaurant, Ichiban Sushi Train, Jamba Juice, Karen and Einar Anderson, Kathy Sullivan, Las Palmas, Michi’s Floral, Marby Lee/Luxe Jewels, Morgan Hill Animal Hospital, Morgan Hill Car Wash, Portraits by Rebecca, Sinaloa’s, Spero’s Restaurant, Stronger Medical Instruments, ThinkerToys, Thomas Kinkade and www.winecellars4home.com. We also express our appreciation to all those who helped organize the event and sold tickets.
But now, the campaign goes on to pass Measures A and B to provide funding for our library. Volunteers are especially needed for phone banking. Calls to likely voters will continue four nights a week through April. If you can help one night or more, or can get a group together to call, please contact Vicky Reader, re*****@*******nk.net or 779-2750.
Thanks for supporting our Morgan Hill Library.
