I’m addressing this “pet peeve” — pun intended — to all dog owners in Morgan Hill who somehow believe it’s perfectly acceptable to let their dogs poop on public sidewalks, where the rest of us have to dodge their deposits.
Almost equally frustrating are dog owners who think it’s completely OK to leave bags of poop on the sidewalk or pathway. Do they think the bag of waste will somehow magically disappear because it’s “organic”?
If you have a dog, it is 100% your responsibility to manage your pet’s poop in the proper way, which is to pick it up as you walk and deposit the remains in your own trash can when you get home.
I live just down the street from a school, and I’m appalled at how often dog poop is left in the middle of the sidewalk that many families have to traverse daily, or bags of poop on the path that the rest of us have to look at.
Please be a good citizen and responsible dog owner, and take care of your dog’s waste.
