comment on the first item on the agenda, the Institute Golf Course,
at the April 14 meeting of the city Planning Commission.
I was present, and the only member of the public to comment on the first item on the agenda, the Institute Golf Course, at the April 14 meeting of the city Planning Commission.
I read the article in the April 16 addition of the Morgan Hill Times, and in general thought the subject was treated fairly. I also felt that the commissioners were well informed on the subject, and asked questions relevant to the decisions they were being asked to make about it.
I however, would like to clear up some of the statements attributed to me in the article. Small issue, but my name is spelled Bill Konle.
First, the impression that the well, not wells, was within 10 yards of the Fry’s well is not true. I said that it was within 10 yards of the Fry’s property. It is about 100 yards to the closest well on the Fry’s property.
I have always been in favor of the project. The positive exposure both locally and worldwide of the relocation of the Math Institute to Morgan Hill would be a tremendous asset to this area.
There have been enough errors and misunderstandings on both sides. All of which are behind them. It would be criminal on both sides to destroy the project. Can’t we play nice and work together to finish this very worthwhile project?
