The California Department of Forestry (CDF) will sponsor
Community Emergency Response Training classes beginning on April 1
through May 17, on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at the CDF
station in Morgan Hill at 15670 Monterey Road. A practical
drill/exercise will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to
2:30 p.m. In the event of a major emergency, our professional
service workers will be overwhelmed and unable to respond to each
and every need immediately. Learn what to do for yourself and your
family until help arrives.

Learn what to do for yourself and your family until help arrives.
Also learn how to prepare for our major risks/threats. Classes are offered through the South County Neighborhood Disaster Preparedness Project and the Morgan Hill Police Department, Office of Emergency Services. Instructors are usually professionals in a related field and certified FEMA instructors. CERT classes offer training in disaster first aid, search and rescue, fire suppression, hazardous materials, communications, and many other vital areas. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.
