Gavilan women’s volleyball put everything on the line, but fell painstakingly short last Wednesday , losing in five games to Chabot College in Hayward.

The overall score in the contest was 30-28, 28-30, 29-31, 30-24, 14-16.

“The biggest thing that happened was that their outside hitter got hurt in the first game,” Gavilan coach Kevin Kramer said. “It kind of brought their team closer together, just guts-out. Nothing hit the floor after that.”
