Dear Editor, We would like to publicly thank
“John” the manager of Safeway on East Dunne and his staff who so
graciously helped all of the primarily senior citizens who invaded
the store to get flu shots on Oct. 13.

We would like to publicly thank “John” the manager of Safeway on East Dunne and his staff who so graciously helped all of the primarily senior citizens who invaded the store to get flu shots on Oct. 13.
John and his staff organized the line of 400 older people into the fastest, safest, most comfortable “potential mob scene” as possible.
They scrounged up as many chairs as they could find for us, they served orange juice and “goodies” near the vaccine tables and repeatedly brought bottles of cold water to those of us waiting outside.
Many thanks to these concerned and generous young people and Safeway for having such a wonderful, caring attitude toward the community.
