Everyone wants to play on a course that is well manicured especially here in this valley, where the green fees are on the high side. So why don’t we take better care of the course when we play?

There are things that we should do that will give the course a chance to heal faster and make the superintendent happy.

Remember to replace your divot after your shot from the fairway or use the sand and seed mix that some courses provide.

Serious golfers know that putting on smooth greens is a true pleasure. So please fix your ball marks. Take that thought further and fix one or two more.

When you don’t fix the ball marks, it takes weeks for them to heal. If you repair you ball marks immediately, it takes just a few hours.

Take pride in the course and respect the golfers who are playing the course behind you.

When playing on the course, enjoy the moment and trust your swing on the driving range so that you can use your imagination and feel on the course.
