In answer to John Quick’s editorial, did I understand him, correctly? His family landed on our shores from the Mayflower. Yet his family has been raping and pillaging for 300 years. Nevertheless, since his family has fought in many wars, including Indian Wars and although he didn’t fight in Vietnam, he knew Marines who did; and, because he is purported to be a trained scientist with a passion for verifiable truth, we should listen to his diatribe…”why can’t we all just get along?”
Gosh, folks, I have verifiable documents of my ancestors back to 1640. My ancestors and family fought in all wars of this country until the desert wars of the past 15 years. In the Civil War, they fought on both sides. I have a B.A., M.A and work on a PhD. Let me throw in a book of my combat experiences, “We Claim The Title, Korean War Marines” and more than 125 published articles. Like John Quick, therefore, I must be a trained intelligent person. Oh, let me add this, I have lived almost 76 years, a lot longer than he.
And, I don’t agree with him.
Prior to Sept. 2001, Muslims attacked us taking Iran Embassy hostages, 1979; Beirut Embassy, 1983; Beirut Marine Barracks, 1983; Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight, 1988; First World Trade Center attack, 1993; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex, 1996; Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy, 1998; Aden, Yemen USS Cole, 2000; New York World Trade Center, 2001: Pentagon, 2001.
In each case, the attacks were carried out by Muslim terrorists. They focus on our country, but also kill their own people or the Spanish, French or anyone else. Terrorist Muslim leaders are fanatically bent on doing — by their own pronouncements — killing all of us “infidels.” Including, Israelis.
Incidentally, would you strap a bomb to your child. And, send him out to be a suicide bomber?
Muslim terrorists know what is riding on this war and are completely committed to winning. No, we cannot maintain all of our political correctness and civil rights during this conflict. Why fret about piling naked Muslims on top of each other at Abu Ghrab, when Muslim terrrorists behead the likes of Nick Berg.
Remember, the Muslim terrorists stated goal is to kill all infidels! Including Jews. That translates into all non-Muslims. Not just the United States, but throughout the world.
Therefore, I urge this country to unite to save our country. It is your future. Would you like to return to the Middle Ages with the Muslims? Ladies, how about abject subservience?
Whether Democrat or Republican, Green or Independent, conservative or liberal; politicians and media, for ourselves, our children, grandchildren, our country and the free world, we must rise up, unite and fight Muslim terrorists.
