Morgan Hill resident and native Californian John Mulch died at
age 77 on May 5 of natural causes.
Morgan Hill resident and native Californian John Mulch died at age 77 on May 5 of natural causes.

Born in Gilroy and raised in San Martin, Mr. Mulch was a lifelong resident of the Santa Clara Valley. Having grown up here, Mr. Mulch had a special passion for the town of Morgan Hill and South County. He served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Mulch enjoyed a 40-year career with PG&E, from which he retired as a line foreman. He was a member of the Morgan Hill Masonic lodge for over fifty years.

Mr. Mulch was a longtime member of the San Martin Presbyterian Church.

John is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, who together would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on May 28. Mr. Mulch is survived by a son and two daughters, their spouses and six grandchildren.

A memorial will be at 1 p.m. May 17 at the San Martin Presbyterian Church.
