On Jan. 19 at the Community and Cultural Center, our local Las Madres group sponsored an annual Preschool and Kindergarten Information night. This night was a huge success! Over 100 parents were able to gather facts from over 20 preschools and kindergartens in one location! Many of the schools are located in Morgan Hill, but schools from Gilroy and South San Jose were represented as well.
The success of this event was attributed to many factors. First, some schools chose to be an event sponsor by making voluntary donations. We’d like to give a special THANK YOU to those schools, which include: Carden Academy Morgan Hill, Charter School of Morgan Hill, Child Development Centers, Inc., Crossroads Christian School, Countryside Daycare & Preschool Center, Harker School, Kids World, Little Sonshine School House, Inc., Morgan Hill Parent Child Nursery School, Morgan Hill Preschool Academy, Morgan Hill Ranch CDC, Mount Madonna School, Oakwood Country School, Pacific West Christian Academy, St. Catherine School, and St. John’s Preschool.
We also received donations from local businesses including: Costco, Jumpin’ Juice and Java, Nob Hill, and Starbucks. Our own Las Madres 2001 members donated home-baked items to round out a wonderful assortment of snacks and beverages.
