May 3: Natural Science Days: Gilroy Gardens will hold Natural Science Days for students May 3, 10, 17, 24, Oct. 18 and 25 at the park, 3050 Hecker Pass Highway. The program provide a unique opportunity for school children, grades K-5, to experience a “living laboratory” to enhance their learning. Cost: $15 per student and $5 per chaperone. Ranch day
Bring the family and learn about ranch life and the Ohlone Indians from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 at the Hunting Hollow entrance to Henry Coe Park. Pet animals and meet some mini horses. The 29th annual California Indian Market in San Juan Bautista is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 4 and May 5 at the San Juan School soccer lot at The Alameda and Highway 156. A La Carte & Art
A La Carte & Art will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 4-5 on Castro Street between Church Street and Evelyn Avenue in Mountain View. Bonsai exhibit
The Watsonville Bonsai Club will host it’s 40th annual Bonsai Exhibit and Demonstration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 5 at the Watsonville Buddhist Temple, 423 Bridge St., Watsonville. A demonstration by award wining Bonsai Master Katsumi Kinoshita will be at 1:30 p.m. A raffle of bonsai items including the demo tree will follow.
