My name is Donavon Curtis I am 16 years old and have been in Scouting since I was 6 years old when I started in Tiger Cubs. I am now a Life Scout in Boy Scouts and working on my Eagle rank. The biggest part of the Eagle rank is to complete a community project. I will be doing my Eagle Project for Martin Murphy Middle School located at 141 Avenida Espana, San Jose, CA 95139 on Saturday, March 25. One will be building and installing five picnic tables with attached benches. These will be used for both outdoor classes during the day as well as for the junior high students to use during break and lunch time. In order to complete the project I am asking for community assistance and donations for supplies. My project will cost about $800 in supplies and I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide to help me reach my target. I will need redwood for the table and benches, hardware to put them together, cement and chains to anchor them. I have planned on acquiring supplies from local companies, any donation of time, money or gift cards would be extremely helpful and put to a great use for Martin Murphy Middle School.
