Ralph and Gale Hammond of Morgan Hill happily announce the engagement on Thanksgiving Day of their daughter, Ashley Clare Hammond, to James Paul Stromberg. Ashley, a 1994 graduate of Live Oak High School, received her B.S. degree at Arizona State University in Tempe and complete her Masters of Elementary Education in 2001. She teaches first grade at El Dorado Private School in Scottsdale.
Jim, son of Paul Stromberg of St. Louis and Jeanette Stromberg of Chicago, graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a degree in Construction Management. He is a project manager for Hunt Construction in Los Angeles.
The couple will celebrate an evening wedding on July 10, at the Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix. After honeymooning in Kauai, Ashley and Jim will reside in Redondo Beach, Calif.
