’m sitting here reading the comments by residents of Morgan Hill
in support of Coach Glen Webb and I think that’s all fine. I happen
to be a parent of a student at Live Oak and at Sobrato and I
personally think that all this nonsense and all these attacks on
Sobrato need to stop. Whatever grieva
nces that people of this town have, you need to take them up
with the district and leave the schools out because after all,
you’re hurting the kids. Does anybody in this town care about what
the kids hear and the reflection this has on the kids of
Sobrato?

Whatever grievances that people of this town have, you need to take them up with the district and leave the schools out because after all, you’re hurting the kids. Does anybody in this town care about what the kids hear and the reflection this has on the kids of Sobrato? Coach Webb has every right to feel the way he does and so do the parents of students at Live Oak, regardless what happens with Sobrato pulling out. But I guarantee you it was for no reason other than the safety of these young men and these parents had the right to feel that way for the safety of their sons. The school is here. We need to embrace the school and stop all this bickering. The school is here, embrace it, or take your comments to the board and stop bickering in the newspaper and in public where these kids have to feel this.
GREEN PHONE: Caller, we agree that the students – and particularly the student athletes – at Sobrato and Live Oak are the ones who stand to be hurt the most by this debacle. We believe that the first step toward healing is to recognize that the students’ needs are of paramount importance.
