Is it that time again? It sure is! In January, there were approximately 500 busy Girl Scouts in Morgan Hill and San Martin taking cookie orders from family, friends and neighbors. They have pre-sold over 35,000 boxes of cookies.

The Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County in Service Unit 40 were able to have their cases of cookies delivered, sorted and picked up by the girls in local troops thanks to Guglielmo Winery and staff for loaning out their parking area.

If you didn’t have a Girl Scout knocking on your door, don’t worry your in luck!

You can still get Girl Scout cookies during booth sales. Girl Scout cookie booths sales take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, beginning February 24th and running through March 19th. Look for them at various locations in Morgan Hill. Service Unit 40 would like to thank all of the merchants supporting the cookie booth sales.

This year there are two new varieties to choose from: Cartwheels, an oatmeal cinnamon cookie, and Thanks-A-Lot, a shortbread cookie dipped in fudge.

At the booth sales, you may also purchase cookies for donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose or to the local Red Cross that will ship the cookies to military troops overseas.
