– Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero remained undefeated in the
professional ranks, as he knocked out former world champion Juan
Polo Perez in the second round at the Miccosukee Resort in
Miami.
MIAMI – Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero remained undefeated in the professional ranks, as he knocked out former world champion Juan Polo Perez in the second round at the Miccosukee Resort in Miami.
The Gilroy native reportedly landed a vicious uppercut that sent Perez to the canvas.
The 5-foot-10 southpaw imrpoved his record to 12-0 with five knockouts with the victory over Perez.
The stage is now set for Guerrero to prove he is the best featherweight in the world, as he gets ready to fight Enrique Sanchez on Showtime June 3.
Sanchez, a former world champion, has an impressive record of 30-2 with 21 knockouts.
Sanchez’s only losses came in world title fights against Nester Garza and the great Mexican champion Marco Antonio Barrera.
Guerrero takes a huge step up in competition fighting Sanchez.
With a victory, Guerrero would solidify his status as one of the top contenders in boxing today at the tender age of 21.
Guerrero just turned 21 on March 21.
When ‘The Ghost’ was asked if he was ready for this fight, his answer, “I was born ready.”
