“The Ghost” Guerrero is heading to camp to get ready for a bout
scheduled on Sept. 16, his publicist said Thursday. The venue and
opponent are to be announced. Undefeated (15-0-1, 8 KO’s) and
ranked in the top 10 by most boxing organizations, “The Ghost” last
fought on April 1 in Lemoore,
knocking out Adrian Valdez in the 12th round of their
featherweight bout. Guerrero will be in attendance at next
Thursday’s “Night of Olympians” to be held at San Jose’s HP
Pavilion, which will be televised on Fox Sports Net’s “The Best
Damn Sports Show Period.” On the card will be the
Gilroy native’s friend and fellow boxer Andre Ward, the Olympic
gold medalist.
