It has been a busy last couple of weeks here at Gilroy High School! Last week was homecoming. Homecoming week at GHS is controlled chaos. During the week we had spirit days, float building, royalty, and a rally. Homecoming week came to an end on Friday, with a parade, football game, and announcement  of homecoming King and Queen (Brandon Boyd and Leilani Mah). The halftime was topped off by a great fireworks display as well.
On Saturday, November 2nd, GHS Seniors went on our annual Senior Dinner Dance on the San Francisco Bay. A great time was had by all at the event that will surely last in their memories for years to come (I still have fond memories of mine 20 years ago).
This week we have the Severance Bowl football game (Gilroy High School versus Christopher High School) and midweek we will have a dinner between the two teams varsity football and cheerleaders.
In addition to the game and the dinner this week we have our annual College and Career Fair Thursday, November 7th.
From an Activities standpoint, our school year is off to a great start and I am really proud of all the hard work put in by our students. This is so important because in reality it is the students that drive our school and the activities.-Jeremy Dirks
