These unique opportunities are found in the Agriculture Science Program, which is for all interested students.
Some of you may be thinking that due to the term “Agriculture” being in the course title – the school is trying to make a farmer out of your child – absolutely not: This is one of the biggest hurdles I have had to overcome in the 17 years I have taught in the Morgan Hill School District. Time after time parents and students will tell me that this sounds like a great program but they are not into farming and not interested in the program.
Only after the parents/students learn about the program do they realize that no matter what your career or college goals are, the Agriculture Science program can open may doors through the leadership and career development curriculum. The program serves the range of advanced placement classes to struggling students. It is student- and family-friendly.
Student Success is the foundation of this program, but to be involved, you must enroll.
