to capture the city championship.

Game One: Dodgers 12, A’s 10
The Dodgers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning as Ben Hartl started the rally with a single. Sean Schlaefli then reached first on an error scoring Hartl, and a single by Sean Aitken drove in Schalefli. A single by Garrett Gregory scored Aitken. The Dodgers’ defense dropped the A’s in order in the bottom off the first on two grounders to first baseman Gregory and a strikeout from pitcher Aaron Armijo.
In the top of the second inning the A’s defense dropped the Dodgers in order on a fly ball and a grounder to shortstop Nelson Pyle, and then a pick off from pitcher Andrew Bueno to first baseman Casey Dawes. The Dodgers’ defense still kept the A’s off the bases in the bottom of the inning with two strikeouts from Armijo and a grounder to second baseman Dane Cleeton.
The Dodgers added three more runs in the third inning on a lead off single by Hartl who reached third on a balk and a passed ball, a hit by Kyle Kinsey to score Hartl, and RBI hits by Gregory and Armijo. The Dodgers’ defense again dropped the A’s in order in the bottom of the inning on a grounder to shortstop Sean Schlaefli, a foul pop-up caught by first baseman Gregory, and a strikeout from Armijo.
In the top of the fourth inning the Dodgers scored three more runs when Cleeton reached first on an error, Alex Aguaristi walked, and Derek Rousseu slammed a double into center field to score Cleeton and send Aguaristi to third. Ben Hartl reached first base on a fielder’s choice, stole second and third, and scored on a single by Schlaefli to give the Dodgers a 9-0 lead. The A’s got back into the game in the bottom of the inning, scoring four runs on a single by Nelson Pyle and a walk to Bueno, followed by a three-run home run into right field by Casey Dawes to trim the Dodgers’ lead to 9-3.
The A’s defense got on track in the fifth when pitcher Dawes struck out three Dodgers batters in order after allowing a lead off walk. The A’s stormed back in the bottom of the inning, scoring seven runs on only two hits by Bueno and Zack McKerrow, but adding runs by Pyle, Dawes, Westyn Herscovitch, Aguayo, and Dylan Kral, who all reached on walks or errors to take the A’s first lead of the game, 10-9.
The Dodgers added a run to tie the score in the sixth inning when Cleeton reached first on a single, stole second, advanced to third on a single by Rousseu, and then scored on a single by Daniel Barboza which also placed Rousseu at third base.
The A’s got out of the inning on a double play when Kral made a running catch in center field and a perfect throw to first baseman Dawes before the Dodgers’ runner tagged up. The Dodgers’ defense shut down the A’s again in the bottom of the inning on a strikeout, a fly ball to pitcher Hartl, and a grounder to second baseman Cleeton.
With the game tied in the seventh inning, both teams go down in order to set up extra innings with a 10-10 tie.
The Dodgers break the tie in the top of the eighth and score 2 runs on a single by Gregory, who reached on an error and scored on a double by Armijo. A sacrifice fly by Joshua Priest advanced Armijo to third, and then a single by Rousseu scored Armijo taking the Dodgers’ lead to 12–10. The Dodgers defense then shut down the A’s in the bottom of the inning to win the game 12-10 and force a second game for the Bronco division city championship.
Game Two: Dodgers 18, A’s 3
In the deciding championship game the Dodgers again jumped to a 3-0 lead on a single by Sean Schlaefli, who stole second base, went to third on an error and scored on a hit by Kyle Kinsey. Kinsey advanced to second base on an error, third base on a balk, and took home plate on a passed ball. Garrett Gregory then reached first when he was hit by a pitch. Gregory stole second base, took third on a passed ball, and scored on a hit by Dane Cleeton. The A’s scored 1 in the bottom of the inning on a single by Andrew Bueno, who stole second and scored on a long single by Casey Dawes.
In the top of the second the Dodgers added one run on a single by Ben Hartl, who took second and third bases on passed balls, and was hit home by Kyle Kinsey. Inn the bottom of the inning the A’s were dropped in order by Dodgers’ pitcher Aaron Armijo on a grounder to shortstop Sean Schlaefli and two strikeouts.
In the third inning the Dodgers added yet another run on a single by Sean Aitken, who took second and third bases on passed balls and scored on a balk, which also placed another Dodgers’ runner at third base.
A glove-tip catch on a line drive by A’s shortstop Andrew Bueno and a quick relay to third baseman Matt Jarvis allowed the A’s to turn the double play before the runner on third could tag up. A final strikeout by A’s pitcher Lorenzo Aguayo finished off the inning Dodgers leading 5-1.
The A’s defense stiffened in the fourth inning, allowing only a double by Dodgers Ben Hartl, keeping the Dodgers from scoring. The A’s offense could not get on track however, and with one out and runners on second and third, the A’s went down on a foul pop fly and a strikeout from Dodgers’ reliever Schlaefli.
The Dodgers made it tougher on the A’s in the fifth inning, scoring four runs on a single by Kinsey, a double by Aitken, and singles from Armijo, Joshua Priest, and Derek Rousseu. In the bottom of the inning the A’s still could not manufacture a run. After a lead off walk, the A’s Miguel Gonzalez reaches third on a sacrifice by Dylan Kral and a passed ball, but the Dodgers drop the next two batters on a fly ball to short center and a strikeout to keep the lead at 9-1.
The Dodgers got an unearned run in the top of the sixth when Ben Hartl reached on an error, stole second, and scored on a long single by Aitken. The A’s offense could only muster a walk in the bottom of the inning, as the Dodgers dropped three batters on a strikeout and grounders to first base and shortstop.
The Dodgers put the game out of reach in the seventh, scoring 8 runs and batting through the order. Cleeton reached first base on a dropped third strike, followed by singles by Joshua Priest, Daniel Barboza, Hartl, Schlaefli, Kinsey, Aitken, Gregory, another single by Cleeton, and a double by Priest. The A’s scored two runs in the bottom of the inning on singles by Matt Jarvis and Aguayo, and a sacrifice fly by Dylan Kral, but could muster any moore. The Dodgers earned the Bronco Division city championship over the A’s by a final score of 18-3.
