In spite of rumors of its closure because of budget cuts, the Morgan Hill School District’s Enrollment Center begins its second year of operation with Kinder – 6th grade registration for the 2003-20004 school year.
The Enrollment Center is in the District Office, 15600 Concord Circle.
The center opened last summer to consolidate district enrollments at the District Office, a change from previous years when students registered at individual schools. The consolidation allows for more consistency and frees the school sites from the additional paperwork.
For all students new to the district – students currently enrolled do not have to re-register – registration is under way. Because of class size and other requirements, placement at neighborhood schools is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The center will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. now through June 13, the last day of the school year. After school closes, the center will be open summer hours: from Monday, June 13 through Friday, Aug. 15, the center will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 18, and continuing through the school year, the office will go back to regular hours.
School opens Tuesday, Aug. 26.
To register for school, students will need several documents:
• Proof of birth (birth/baptismal certificate/passport)
• Proof of immunizations
• Proof of physical (kindergarten registration and first grade if student did not have a physical upon entrance to kindergarten in another district)
• Proof of address (utility bill, driver’s license, escrow papers, etc.).
Details: 201-6030.
