This letter is in response to the April 15 article in the San Jose Mercury News. In particular, I am referring to the horrendous article in “The Guide” section that read, “Morgan Hill Hostilities.”
I read the article and commented to my husband, “What’s next – The National Inquirer?”
Like other residents of Morgan Hill, I have read the numerous articles in The Times over the past few months regarding the MHSD. Yes, times are challenging. However, these times are even more difficult when phrases such as “soap opera atmosphere, clashing tempers, battle of wills, contentious board members, haranguing one another, eye-rolling and name calling” are used when describing the MHSD Board of Trustees’ meetings.
The situation is embarrassing for all Morgan Hill residents.
The Board of Trustees need to ask themselves if their behavior is appropriate. Are they role models for our children? Are they serving our community in a dignified and professional manner?
Look at yourselves – it is not amusing.
Susan Smith,
Morgan Hill
