a lavender field off Sycamore Drive between 4 and 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday.
A Morgan Hill resident reported a mountain lion killed a deer in a lavender field off Sycamore Drive between 4 and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The lion returned Wednesday night to feed on the carcass, which was torn open at the stomach, he said.

The attack occurred adjacent to a road, a driveway and livestock.
