Dave Payne

Morgan Hill lost an unassuming hero when Dave Payne passed away suddenly on June 10, 2017.
A long-time supporter of youth sports, Dave was a dedicated futurist and veteran of the high-tech industry.
He and wife Christine met at UCLA and have lived in Morgan Hill since the 1990’s raising their four children.
Dave worked for TRW, Lockheed Martin and entrepreneurial aerospace for the past 30 years. He holds numerous patents in space communications and satellite technologies and leaves behind various business ventures. He was a board member of Morgan Hill Youth Sports Alliance and went on to direct activities at the Outdoor Sports Complex. He enjoyed playing jazz piano, freelance web development and coaching youth sports.
He’s survived by his beloved wife Christine, children Alex, Lauren, Eric and Ryan.
Services will be held at St Catherine’s on Friday June 23, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm.
Celebration of Life will be June 24, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at the Downtown Amphitheater.
