CSR Cares donated $5,000 to One Step Closer Therapeutic Riding Inc.—a Morgan Hill charity offering therapeutic riding and other equine assisted therapy to children with physical and emotional disabilities.
The sizeable donation, one of the largest received by One Step Closer, will go toward the organization’s School Readiness Program for children with special needs.
The SRP is an adaptive riding curriculum designed to help young children with special needs succeed in the classroom by developing attention span, eye-hand coordination and appropriate behavior.
Mark and Landa Keirstead are founders of One Step Closer, which is an award-winning equestrian organization designed for equine-assisted therapy for individuals with physical and/or emotional disabilities, and to U.S. veterans recovering from physical and emotional trauma of war.
CSR Cares, a 501 (c) 3 charity established by CSR Real Estate Services, has promoted community-based organizations and institutions since 2014.
“When CSR Real Estate Services established CSR Cares, our goal was to donate funds to charities that aligned with our mission of affecting positive change for children in our community,” said Terry Meyer, Vice President of CSR Cares. “One Step Closer is exactly the type of specialized program that we want to support.”
