The Santa Clara County Fair takes place Aug. 6, 7 and 8,
noon-midnight, at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, bordered by
Monterey Highway and Senter, Tully and Umbarger Roads.

The fair opens with a Fireworks extravaganza presented by Boom-Boom Productions.
Featured main stage entertainment nightly and ongoing performances with Hypnotist Kevin Stone, The Raggs Kids Club stage show and the Sea Lion Encounter. Grounds act featured are the Wild West Express, Rockets K-9 Show, comedy juggler Bill Bailey and Elvis Stilt Walker, John Frimand.
The County Fair will also feature a display of local animals, fruits and vegetables and arts and crafts raised, grown or made by Santa Clara County residents, including several South Valley students, members of Future Farmers of American and 4-H. Details: www.thefair.org or 494-3134.
