Dear Editor,

Recently I had the opportunity to hire a young man through the newly opened Dayworker Center in Morgan Hill. I am not a skeptic by nature, though I had some concern about the quality of work to be done by someone I did not know.

I went to the Center and they found someone who said he was a painter- just what I needed. We agreed on a price per hour, told the Center what it was, and about how long this portion of the job would be.

To make a long story short, he not only did an excellent job, I hired him again to do some landscaping, a job he said he could do. The work was top notch, and I will call back to the Center when I have another job.

In my estimation, the Center offers a wonderful way to match work to be done with those who say they can do it. It is a win-win.

So, if you have work to be done, give the DayWorker Center a chance. Drop by their office on Depot Street just south of Main Avenue, or call Director Eloisa Gamez at 782-1971.
