Live Oak’s Jakob Conlan and Jacob Estrada combined for a four-hitter Wednesday against visiting Mount Pleasant, but it wasn’t enough for the Acorns to get their first win in Santa Teresa Division play.

Conlan (0-3) struck out three and surrendered two runs on three hits and a walk in five innings, and Estrada pitched one-hit ball through the final two.

The Acorns (2-7, 0-5) mustered a pair of hits, both by junior Ben Nuno.

McCombs made the cut in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.69) and the 100 breaststroke (1:05.05), winning both events, and Mikaelsson in the 200 IM, which she won in 2:20.02.

McCombs also took first in the 200- and 400- freestyle relays with Daniel Pawlak, Saul Orona and Connor Haines.
