Citywide Yard Sale Is Coming This Weekend

Morgan Hill – As part of Morgan Hill's Second Chance Week the city will be sponsoring its annual garage sale days Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16-17. The event offers the community an opportunity to recycle their unwanted items. A list of sale locations is available at City Hall, on the city's Web site, at the 7-Eleven on West Main Avenue, Y'A Bon at Cochrane Plaza, the Chevron on Vineyard Boulevard, and the Good Life Cafe at Monterey Road and Second Street. Yard sales throughout the city will be open from 8am to 2pm. For more information call (408) 779-7247.

California Coastal Cleanup Day

Morgan Hill residents can help clean up the Llagas Creek on Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 16, 9am to noon. Volunteers will meet at Community Park's main parking lot (near the restrooms) and clean up Llagas Creek between Villa Ciolino and Edmundson Avenue.

Heading for Gold Country

The fifth annual Pinecrest Run got off to a roaring start Friday morning at EMF Motorsports, 17165 Depot St., where more than 170 motorcycle enthusiasts departed Morgan Hill headed for gold country. Many of the bikes were loaded "2-up" with driver and passenger looking forward to the 200-mile trip that ends with live music and dinner at the Steam Donkey Restaurant in the Sierra hills.
