The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors has accepted the Elder Refugee Services Plan, a project that will increase outreach efforts and linkages to the county's elderly refugee population.

Morgan Hill residents can help clean up the Llagas Creek on Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 16, 9am to noon. Volunteers will meet at Community Park's main parking lot (near the restrooms) and clean up Llagas Creek between Villa Ciolino and Edmundson Avenue.

Morgan Hill – As part of Morgan Hill's Second Chance Week the city will be sponsoring its annual garage sale days Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16-17. The event offers the community an opportunity to recycle their unwanted items. A list of sale locations is available at City Hall, on the city's Web site, at the 7-Eleven on West Main Avenue, Y'A Bon at Cochrane Plaza, the Chevron on Vineyard Boulevard, and the Good Life Cafe at Monterey Road and Second Street.
